Torque Power, in collaboration with Micron, after 2 years have finished the “ultimate cnc ported” flowing cylinder head on the market today the TP 230cc for the GMH holden V/8 engines and the new TP Bigpaw block.

Yella Terra and Bullet Cylinder Heads also took part in this project. Yella Terra needed to supply modified castings of there proven Dash 9 so the new port and chamber design from TP-Micron could be achieved as is shown from the flow figures and pics below. After the design and flow bench work was completed Bullet Cylinder Heads digitised and cnc ported under licence the new TP 230cc.

Combining the best attributes of the yella terra dash 9 VN to VT holden heads, plus other major key improvements, the new TP 230 cc will be a necessary component in achieving maximum torque and horsepower from any holden V/8 engine with a 4 inch bore and the new BIGPAW alloy engine from TP with its 4.125 bore.

The most noticeable improvement over other aftermarket heads designs available today is the addition of provisions for two extra head studs per cylinder. This will provide racers with the extra clamping force required on the head gasket when high combustion pressures that are obtained when turbos, superchargers and nitrous are used. Torque powers new BIGPAW block can likewise accommodate the extra head studs. The other improvement is the massive 2.150 intake valve and of course the offset intake push rod holes

Other key features of the TP 230cc is that the valve angle is still 6° providing OAHF (optimum average head flow), the spring seats can accommodate valve springs up to 1.625" in diameter and a installed height of 2.000 " also valves with an overall length of 5.550" can be used. The intake push rod holes have been move .180 thou (4.5mm) and the exhaust valve have been moved .040 thou (1mm). The valve cover rail are still in standard dash 9 position. And yes, Yella Terra have also manufactured a new set of roller rockers part number #YT6663 to accommodate the new TP 230 cc valve and push rod locations.

Designed with 230cc intake runner volume and fitted with massive 2.150" intake and 1.625" exhaust valves, the TP 230cc 6 stud has exceptional flow characteristics. These heads are CNC ported from Bullet Cylinder heads exclusively for Torque Power. The heads are available with several different spring packages for use with a range of cam profiles. They are also available CNC ported with or with out seats cut.
